For learners
Completion, certification, practical confidence, and clearer routes into employment, apprenticeship, or enterprise.
Lindtech College began in 2016 in the Kayole slums of Nairobi as a small cyber café offering basic computer training to youth. It was later realized that digital skills alone were not enough to address unemployment, leading to the introduction of vocational courses such as hairdressing, tailoring, plumbing, and catering. These programs helped many young people gain employment and start businesses, leading to the official registration and TVETA accreditation of Lindtech College in 2023.
The college has since grown through partnerships with organizations such as HIAS Kenya, SHOFCO, RIDA, and ORAM, expanding access to training through sponsored learners. However, financial challenges among vulnerable students led to high dropout rates, prompting scholarship support that reduced dropouts from 60% to 40%.
To further address this gap, the Lindtech Educational and Empowerment Foundation (L.E.E.F) was established in 2024 and registered in 2025. The foundation provides scholarships, skills training, mentorship, livelihood empowerment, and holistic support to ensure learners complete their education. Lindtech’s vision is to eliminate barriers to education and empower more young people to build sustainable and dignified livelihoods.
A safe, broad based, and empowered community where all individuals have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute meaningfully.
To empower marginalized individuals through inclusive, market-relevant technical skills training and integrated support, enabling sustainable livelihoods and lasting pathways out of poverty.
